Peacock 3D paper craft, SVG files for Cricut users, vector templates, DIY home decor

I do NOT recommend it for a beginner craftster!
You have to use A4 and A3 size paper.

I recommend it only to experienced crafters with a lot of practice!
Please look at the pictures carefully and consider whether the level of difficulty of the project will be suitable for you! Creativity and improvisation will be required to make the tail-feather support structure. Everyone will work a little differently, because everyone works with different quality paper. The weight, flexibility, and stiffening ability of the papers are different.
I will show/suggest several solutions, but you will have to choose creatively from
the options. You may need to combine or change them slightly to adapt to the
quality of the paper you are using.

YOU WILL HAVE TO USE A GLUE GUN to complete this project!

The final bird will be app. 70-80 cm tall.

A4 size paper app. 200 gsm (210 x 297 mm)
head, neck – 1pc – green
body – 7pc – green
leg – 2pc – gold, brown or dark red
wing – 2pc – green
tail back – 15-18pc – green
feather head – 1-1pc/colour -two types of blue (one of them should be shiny, bright, metallic), green
feather chest – 1-1pc/colour- two types of blue, one should be shiny, bright, shiny
feather wing – 1-1pc/colour – beige, gold, blue
tail part decor – 1-2pc/color – turquoise, gold
tail decor – 1-1pc/colour – blue, shiny blue, shiny green, gold

A3 (297 x 420mm) app. 200 gsm
tail feathers – app. 10 -12pc – green

A3 (297x420mm) thick card/ cardboard 300-400gsm
tail back constructions – 5-10
+ You may need: wire, wooden stick, paper straw

Using a PDF file:
You will need access to a printer, paper, card, tape, double-sided tape, glue or glue gun, scissors, and a ruler.

Using SVG files:
Basic knowledge of Cricut software and of using SVG files with it is assumed.

Recommended paper quality: 180-200gsm

How to use PDF files:
– Download & unzip the files
– Print the template
– Cut out the parts
– Fold along the folding lines
– Glue parts together.

How to use SVG files:
– Download & unzip the files
– Preparing files with e.g. Design Space software for using the Cricut machine
– Score and cut out the parts with a Cricut machine
– Fold along the folding lines
– Glue parts together.

The double-sided tape is the fastest way to make this mask or other papercraft.
A small glue gun can also be useful.
