How was the name Pappet born? It was just a little game with words.
PAPER + PUPPET, because my first “product” was a group of zoo animals hand puppet. Tiger, lion, crocodile, monkey, rhino, giraffe and zebra.
I designed it for kids because developing dexterity is very important in childhood.
When my daughter was little, it was good to see how deeply careful she was working with colored pencils, scissors, glue.
Have you ever thought that organizing a child’s birthday party is all about choosing the venue, making/ordering sandwiches, and cake, and sending out invitations? The rest will be arranged by the children, entertaining each other.
Were you wrong? Was there boring-rushing chaos? Have you vowed to prepare next time with programs that grab the kids ’attention? Did you think this could be any craft activity, for example? Do you think this is just a good program for girls? Do you think this is age-dependent?
Several of the craft activities I have planned can be used as a birthday party program. Why do I recommend it, why do I think it is a good pastime?
Yes, you have to put energy into it: you have to explain some steps, you have to help here and there. But I will help you. You don’t just get step-by-step instructions. I also show you several decorating ideas to help start their fantasies. Wonderful ideas are always born when you have seen in my examples how many different possibilities there are.
I still think it’s worth it because you avoid chaos and you can even enjoy seeing that every kid is differently creative. I always really enjoy observing which kid to feel for the task and figure out their own versions.
It doesn’t require any training from you either, all you have to do is read my step-by-step instructions in advance and think a little. It’s also a good strategy to sit down between them and do your own paper item with them too so you can show them directly what to do.
The nature inspired me, I also used photos because I wanted to create detailed vector files. 4 types of butterfly temples were made. The 4 shapes, combined with an infinite number of coloring options, offer a wide range of wall decorations. The line thickness had to be experimented with: it should be elegant, but the paper should not tear. Originally, I wanted to make SVG files that could be used on a Cricut machine, but I realized that I also got templates that were great for coloring. The coloring pages can be downloaded as black and white pdf files. The colored, scissor-cut butterflies will also look good on the wall.
This 3D skull mask can be both a handcraft pastime and a Halloween decoration. The Skull Mask template is available as SVG and PD files. The SVG file can be used with a Cricut machine. You can also use the PDF file if you only have scissors. It takes a little longer, but you get the same result. A step-by-step guide will help you navigate, the markings will show which item should be fitted to which item. After gluing the 3D skull together, you can come up with your own design. Let your imagination run wild! Want a dramatic effect, a scary Halloween mood? Or do you just want a finer, bohemian effect? Use colors, use materials, really only your imagination limits the possibilities.
